Village of Harrington Harbour

Harrington Harbour is considered one of the more famous villages along the Coast. It has been classed as the "jewel in the crown" and been listed as one of Quebec's most beautiful villages. It was recently portrayed in the film La Grande Seduction. Some 13 miles southwest of Harrington lies the St Mary's Island Bird Sanctuary, recognized for it's populations of puffin, murr, razorbill auk (tinker), black guillemot, eider duck, loon, cormorant, artic tern, petrel and various gull species.



Lodging and Activities

Rowsell House Interpretation Center Harrington Harbour's heritage and culture is interpreted within the Rowsell House Interpretation Center. The house is a hundred year old structure, which was recently renovated to provide display areas, meeting room and officies. The Center has both permanent and temporary exhibits which can be viewed daily from June to October and by request (418-795-3131) at any time of the year.
